about

NDV (Nadav Ravid), half of Polar Pair and half of the Botanika label/DJ crew, is starting 2011 with a bang.
The flood of releases includes two remixes for Maddslinky and Tawiah's torch song, Further Away, one by Polar Pair and another as an NDV solo affair (forthcoming on Tru Thoughts, alongside remixes by Falty DL, Funk Butcher, Illum Sphere, EL-B and others). A wonky beats & bass workout, Look at the Stars, has just been released via Bonzzaj records (featured on Generation Bass), and to top things off, here are a couple of dancefloor EP's for the Botanika label.
Logariddmic and Algoriddmic are both 3-track EP's covering a range of BPMs, stylistically touching on house, broken beats, funky and dubstep. Following the footpath of his 2010 Southbridge EP, all tracks are drenched in low frequencies and percussive workouts, while maintaining enough room for their lush melodies.
Out of my Head - actually an NDV remix to an unreleased Polar Pair track - manages to have a house feel without resorting to a steady, predictable 4X4 beat - like a tough love-child of Brackles and Deadboy, high on E, and very late at night. Logariddmic, another monstrous hybrid, fuses heavy bass, afro percussion, soulful vocal snippets and a plethora of analog and digital synths, while Port Zero is washed with strings and pads for that end-of-the-night-tingly-feeling.
The Logariddmic cover was designed by Tubi, a local designer and fellow Tel-Aviv based DJ.
Logariddmic is released digitally on February 21st through Botanika Records.
